Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows…… WHO YOUR VOTING FOR!
Down the back streets of East Atlanta nestled between 6 feet Under the seafood restaurant and Tin Lizzy’s on Memorial Dr. Across the street from the Oakland Cemetery is the Republic Social House, one of Atlanta’s most happening bar and kitchen spots. Google describes it as a “Neighborhood bar with games & a popular rooftop deck, plus weekly specials on wings, tacos & more“ The Republic has the weekly rundown of good time and good vibes starting with 45¢ wings on Monday’s, $1 tacos and $2 Tecate on Tuesday , Industry specials on Wednesday hosted by some of Atlanta’s up and coming DJ’s and the remainder of the week is when everyone lets their hair down and take their party to roof top.
Truthfully after naming all of that, there’s no need to sing anymore of their praises but the most important cog of this social house is the pricing of the drinks. I was introduced to the poor man’s and rich man’s platter. These drink platters were created with you the consumer in mind and in pocket. With these platters comes with your choice of beer, liquor and shot of tequila depending on the which platter you choose you could receive Jack Daniels or Evan Williams now all of our true alcohol advocates know the difference between the two. The same goes for the beer and tequila as well. No need to shy away from the Poor Man’s platter cause of the name. We @toastsandtastes have had both and depending how your bank account is looking or who’s coming to town you can’t go wrong with either one.
Next time you on the Eastside of Atlanta slide through the Republic and get socially slizzard !
